Chores and challenges

Every job in the house has a value

You create chores and rewards and give each a star value. Your child does the chore, ticks it off, and the stars land in their wallet. They spend them on the rewards you have chosen.

How it works

How the family chore app works

Write the list once. The chores reset daily.

Questy Today screen

A chore chart app for kids

For grown-ups

Parent approval in a minute a day

The parent side is a separate mode on the same phone, opened with a PIN on the web and Face ID on the iPhone app when it lands. Chores, rewards and badges are edited there, and everything waiting on you sits in one list.

  • Set a star value per chore and reward
  • Approve or send back a request in one tap
  • Turn a badge off if it does not suit your house

Do chore apps work?

The ones that do work like a paper chart: a short list, a chore worth the same every day and a grown-up who says yes. Questy keeps to that and does the counting.

What age is it for?

From about four, with a grown-up nearby. Pick a size per child, large to compact, and the type, buttons and spacing scale to fit a six-year-old or an eleven-year-old.

Should kids be paid?

Your call, and Questy works either way. Stars are not money. If pocket money is part of your house, put it on the reward list with a price and the stars buy it.

Can screen time be a reward?

Yes. A reward is anything on the list you wrote, at the price you set. Screen time is the most common one, and a child can see exactly how far off it is.

What if they fake a tick?

A tick waits for a grown-up. A chore that was not really done is not approved and nothing lands. Every star that does move is recorded, with what it was for.

Is Questy free?

Yes. Free has room for 2 children, 12 chores, 2 challenges and 6 rewards. Plus lifts those and adds the library, A$5.99 a month or A$39.99 a year, on the web today.

Does it work on two devices?

One family account, everywhere: the web on any phone or tablet today and the iPhone app when it lands. A chore ticked on the tablet is approved on your phone.

Is my child's data safe?

No adverts, no analytics and no tracking. Everything a family makes belongs to that family, and deleting the account removes all of it.
